Vancouver, BC – The first annual Centurion Contracting Charity Golf Tournament took place at Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows and raised over $6000 in support of the Construction Foundation’s youth focused grants and programs.
“As an organization, we wanted to give back to the community and province,” says Mike Beaton, President of Centurion Contracting. “The biggest challenge that we see for young apprentices is being able to afford to go back and finish their training. Our association with the Construction Foundation will allow us to raise funds to support youth training and apprenticeship, which will in turn help the industry and provincial economy.”
“Remarkable community based contribution is coming out of the construction industry,” observes Abigail Fulton, Executive Director of the Construction Foundation. “We work with companies and individuals across the province to assist with their corporate social objectives. Time and time again, industry members demonstrate they are here for good, in more ways than one.”
