Build Green Together is a Skills Ready project that introduces high school students from diverse backgrounds to education and employment pathways in the construction industry that focus on the ways industry can help propel British Columbia towards a low-carbon future.
Through a series of workshops, keynote talks, hands-on demonstrations and networking events students are introduced to environmentally-focused careers in construction and the many opportunities that are available to them as they enter the workforce.
Build Green Together’s mission is to introduce youth to construction careers that not only contribute to environmental protection but also focus on inclusion and equity for all. By developing the next generation of trades and technicians, Build Green Together plays a crucial role in setting the stage for British Columbia to achieve the goal of Net-Zero by 2040.
The next generation of industry professionals hold the key to long-term ecological well-being, and by instilling a sense of responsibility and awareness, we hope to empower them to make impactful changes when choosing their future career.
