We believe that Universal Design will help us to ensure no one is left behind.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are essential calls to action. Representation is critical when it comes to serving our communities, especially when serving people at risk. Universal Design practices ensure that these calls to action can be answered.
The term Universal Design is credited to the architect Ronald Mace. Mace described the concept as a way to design built environments to be aesthetically pleasing and most importantly, useable by everyone to the greatest extent possible regardless of age, race, orientation or ability.
With deep roots in industry, Universal Design is a concept that resonates with our team and is an approach that we use when designing all of our bursaries, programs and services.
CFBC is committed to the implementation of universal design, to ensure no one is left behind. All people are welcome. Period. We are here to support all British Columbians on their career journey, wherever it may take them.

We gratefully acknowledge that we work, live, and love on the traditional and unceded lands of the Lekwungen people and when our work takes us across Turtle Island, we raise our hands in thanks to the many Nations who have called this land home for time immemorial.
