The ECABC Jack Funk Scholarship
The ECABC Jack Funk Scholarship honours the memory of Jack Funk, a long-time electrical contractor and leader in British Columbia. Jack ran his electrical contracting business for 45 years and served as President of ECABC from 1994 to 1996. These scholarships reflect his commitment to training and supporting future generations of electrical workers and electrical contractors.

Who Can Apply
Registered apprentices employed by an ECABC contractor member, confirmed to be receiving electrical apprenticeship training at an approved BC training institution. Students in Years 1-4 are eligible.
Application Dates
- Application deadline: June 30, 2024
- Winners selected: August 31, 2024
Note: Funds must be used within 12 months.

Your application to the ECABC Jack Funk Scholarship consists of:

Applications are considered ineligible if the training has already started or has been completed.

Review Process
ECABC will provide a 3-5 person review panel consisting of ECABC staff and Board members, who will select the successful candidates based on applications and recommendations from CFBC.
